Lets face it, any test or exam is a little daunting no matter how well you prepare, after all we are only human.
Many people are under a misconception that having
carefully prepared for the theory driving test, then the driving test, the last thing they want to do is sit yet another test. PASS PLUS involves NO test and is designed PURELY to improve your skills and driving awareness to a greater level.
Once you have passed your driving test, you can apply for your full licence, and you will also need to arrange insurance for your car, before you are legally entitled to drive on the public roads.
The driving test is a basic test of your ability to control the car and drive safely in a variety of different driving conditions., and the one thing that new drivers lack is, of course, experience.
It is a fact that new drivers have a significantly higher
number of accidents than experienced drivers.
To help overcome this situation the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) devised the PASS PLUS scheme which is designed to help you gain this valuable experience much quicker than would otherwise be possible. This will make you a more confident and safer driver.
The course comprises a minimum of six extra lessons, which cover a range of different driving techniques, and are as follows:
Driving in town
Driving out of town
Driving in all different weather conditions
Driving at night
Driving on Dual Carriageways
Driving on Motorways
There is no extra test to take at the end of the course.
When our Instructor is satisfied with the standard you have reached, you will receive a certificate from the DSA to show that you have successfully completed the course.
This certificate will enable you to obtain a discount off your first year's insurance premium, and is normally equal to one year's no claims bonus and is usually around 30%
You can take the Pass Plus course with one of our
experienced Instructors whether you learned to drive with us or not.
To qualify for the discount on your first year's insurance the course must be completed within one year from passing your driving test.
For most people the saving on their car insurance is much greater than the cost of the Pass Plus course. So by taking this valuable additional training you would gain from
